Great job!

hey! how can i get it full? I really liked it, I came here for a post on Tumblr about the game, im an ascii artist so it was a pleasure to play this, awesome work

Hey thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, the game is on hiatus currently. I might return to it one day, but I'm not able to at the moment. I'm glad you enjoyed the ascii art, that was definitely the most time consuming aspect!

I grabbed my suitcase, found the key, unlocked the front door and now no matter what combination of go look use take whatever I cannot seem to actually set foot inside the door. If there is some sort of super specific phrase you need to use to actually go inside the house you should probably make it a little clearer or open it up to a variety of different word choices because "use door - use front door - go inside - go house - go foyer - go guest bedroom - go bedroom - enter house" ect. aren't doing a dang thing.

To move around the map you have to use the format: "Go <direction>." So to go into the house from the front yard you would need to use the command: "Go North." All of the possible directions in a room are listed at the bottom of the room's description.

Also, thank you for sharing this! I'll try to improve some of the player feedback to make that formatting clearer in the next update!

Ah, I gotcha. This might just have been a case of me being dumb / not having enough experience playing oldschool text-adventures. Regardless, armed with this knowledge I have gone through and played the game. It's excellent. Hope to see more from you in the future.

i have never been this excited from a demo probably ever spectacular atmosphere and animation i cannot wait for more

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out!

Really neat work in progress. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Heads up to IF veterans... This is very simple, almost to a fault. So far going off the beaten path is verboten so stick to the highlighted words.

Only piece of advice I have is to maybe expand the vocab to include shortforms for words. Also, maybe add some extra text in more locations when a player attempts to do something logical/sensible but not available or correct right, interacting with the videotape is an example.

Also, I like the video filter but at least in the web version it makes everything too blurry so I turned it off.

Music bangs. Game seems great. Good luck, can't wait to play the finished version.

Thanks for playing!

I greatly appreciate the feedback, that is all really constructive and very helpful! I'll definitely try to incorporate those suggestions in future iterations of the project.
